10. Primary research results and key findings

We have got primary research results and key findings, which will have a positive impact on our production. We have got this information by researching and distributing questionnaires.

For our questionnaire results we found out some key facts about our target audience and what they like to see in our film.

We have found that:

Most people in the 16 – 24 age group like to watch horror films, and this is because they aren’t boring and they always keep the audience engaged.

And when we asked them ‘do you like horror films?’ mostly everyone said yes.

We also asked what their favourite feature in horror films were we returned these results:

Suspense and jumpy scenes

Thrills

Blood shed

Violence

And many more

When we asked them what their favourite type of horror film was, we returned these results:

Our most returned result for ‘what kind of props do you want to see in a horror film’ we found were blood shed.

In conclusion to these results we have, we found that this research is extremely helpful and will have a positive impact on our film as a whole. We now know how to make a film that the audience will love.
